The general contractor, the Limak Marash Group of Companies, implements the construction of the new factory called EnCore in Chernyakhovsk industrial zone (а Kaliningrad region). The facility will produce 1.3 GW of silicon n-type monocrystalline ingots and wafers as well as 1 GW of HJT solar cells. The start of ramp-up production is scheduled for late 2023. EnCore facility will be focused on heterojunction technology which is on the rise now given the strong global demand for highly efficient solar modules.

Unigreen Energy’s EnCore selected Russia’s subsidiary of Limak Marash to build wafer and cell fab in Kaliningrad region. On August 16, 2021, a contract was signed for the construction of the facility.
LMS specialists mobilized the construction site at the facility. The formwork for the customer's office premises at the facility was ready – the installation of metal structures for future premises has begun. Excavation has been carried out for the foundation pit of the building. The concrete base of the building and bituminous waterproofing of the foundation are poured.
LMS specialists continue to arrange the formwork of the future building for the production of silicon wafers. Work continues on the installation of the reinforcement cage, pouring the concrete base and bitumen waterproofing of the building foundation.
On the territory of the building for the production of solar cells, work is underway to remove the fertile layer.
LMS specialists continue to install the columns of the future building for the production of silicon wafers. Work is underway to compact the sandy base, as well as to install the reinforcement cage of the wafer building. Experts are actively engaged in excavation for the buildings of treatment facilities, a cold center, which will house refrigerating machines, chillers and auxiliary equipment, as well as a compressor room.
Reinforcement cage and staircase formwork are being installed. Installation of prefabricated columns and basement panels is being arranged. Formwork and reinforcement of monolithic columns and foundation reinforcement are being installed.
The work on concreting the foundation of the future building for the production of solar cells is 99% ready. Column erection readiness is 75%.
