Construction workers start construction of the third floor of Voronezh airport terminal

The construction of the monolithic vertical structures of the 2nd floor of the new air terminal complex of International Airport in Voronezh has been completed.

The specialists of the general contractor, LMS Group, continue the construction of the facility at a rapid pace. The ceiling formwork and reinforcement of the 3rd floor slab are being installed now. The concreting of the 3rd floor floor slab at +10.350 and concreting of the vertical structures of the 3rd floor are expected to be completed soon. In the basement of the terminal, the builders have started constructing partition walls of aerated concrete blocks.

The excavation for the construction of the storm water treatment plant (STW) is underway at the airport. The excavated soil volume is 2,000 m3. This week, the specialists will begin sheet piling around the excavation. Larsen sheet piles weighing 159 tons will be used.

The basement of the checkpoint is being insulated and the area is being backfilled and graded. A factory has already ordered 30 tonnes of steel structures for the installation work at the checkpoint. For the further construction of the air terminal complex, LMS General Contractor expects delivery of another 185 tons of steel structures.
