LMS employees awarded for the construction of Novy Urengoy Airport
The new terminal of the I.M. Gubkin Novy Urengoy Airport was officially inaugurated on February 9 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of civil aviation. Recall that on December 20, 2022, permission was received to put the new terminal into operation. Since December 25, a test operation has been carried out.
The opening ceremony was held with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin via videoconference: «I want to thank everyone who participated in the implementation of this important project for the country. Investors and managers, designers, builders have done everything necessary for it to be successfully completed.»
The team of the general contractor – the LMS Group of Companies was awarded Thanks «for their contribution to the implementation of the project for the construction of a new AVC of the Novy Urengoy Airport.» The governor of YANAO Dmitry Artyukhov awarded Vatutina Shakhnoza Rustamovna (lead architect) and Masimov Elchin (head of the construction site). Chairman of the Board of Directors of Renova Group Viktor Vekselberg awarded Mehmet Bahar (Construction Project Manager). Evgeny Chudnovsky, General Director of the Airports of Regions Management Company, noted the following LMS employees: Tatiana Viktorovna Blagodyr (lawyer), Elena Viktorovna Blagodyr (VET engineer), Vladislav Pavlovich Busygin (Head of the VET Department), Silvia Zhiganurova (Head of the Supply Department), Ilya Konstantinovich Kuzmin (VET engineer), Farkhod Kamoldinovich Kamoldinov (systems Engineer heating), Kulaksyz Ibrahim (head of the construction site), Dmitry Leonidovich Petrov (architect), Tozalan Suleiman (head of the technical department), Elbistan Fatih (head of the department).

We are proud of another airport in the portfolio of implemented projects, now there are 7 of them in Russia. And specifically with the customer of the Airports of Regions Management Company, this is the third joint project.»
The new passenger terminal with an area of 19 thousand square meters is equipped with three telescopic ladders and 12 check-in counters. Its capacity is 840 passengers per hour. The architectural concept of the terminal is based on the image of the plague – the traditional dwelling of the peoples of the North. It embodies the idea of preserving warmth and comfort.
During the construction of the terminal building, materials were used to ensure high energy efficiency and noise protection. The terminal has received modern equipment, 11 elevators and 4 escalators are installed here, as well as all the necessary equipment for inspection, registration and passenger service. The new luggage system is capable of handling up to 540 pieces of luggage per hour. The waiting rooms are equipped with areas for shops and cafes. Short-term and long-term parking with a total capacity of 300 parking spaces are arranged on the forecourt.
