The first testing of the Novy Urengoy Airport terminal was carried out

A member of the LMS Board of Directors, Selcuk Karaca, visited the construction of the Novy Urengoy Airport with an inspection, where the first comprehensive testing of the new passenger terminal took place yesterday. The site for it was prepared by the general contractor of construction — the LMS Group of Companies.

The acting airport employees acted as passengers. Specialists have worked out all the main processes of passenger service in the new terminal, checked the operability and stable operation of the equipment.

All the equipment has already been put into commissioning and is now being tested under load in conditions that simulate real daily production processes. At the same time, the test participants work out various service scenarios that take into account the specifics of working with different categories of passengers, types of aircraft, types of baggage and cargo, as well as boarding and disembarking passengers via teletraps and a warm bass gate.

According to the results of testing, the final debugging of technological and production processes will be carried out to ensure convenient, high-quality and safe passenger service in the new terminal. Testing is carried out in preparation for the start of the new terminal, which is scheduled for December 2022.

In December, a series of complex tests will be carried out, namely testing of inspection equipment, check-in and baggage handling systems, production IT systems, as well as turnstiles, escalators and elevators.
