The passenger terminal of Novy Urengoy Arport is 60% ready

The readiness of the construction of the new terminal of Novy Urengoy Airport was 60% at the beginning of March. The heating circuit of the terminal is almost completely closed. More than 500 specialists of the general contractor LMS are carrying out construction and finishing works at the site twenty-four hours a day, in two shifts.

The Project Manager Mehmet Bahar reported that 4 elevators are being assembled, mounted and installed at the site, and there will be 11 of them in total. In the near future it is planned to set up an escalator. Special scaffolding is being built for the installation.

The responsibilities of the project manager include control of all kinds of work, interaction with suppliers to ensure that the necessary materials arrive on time. The implementation of the project is carried out strictly according to the schedule agreed with the customer.

»When we are already launching the object, no mistakes are allowed, so every little nuance is important before its launch, we need to promptly solve all the arising issues, set tasks for the builders to complete everything as soon as possible,» Mehmet Bahar commented to Vesti Yamal TV correspondent.

The deadline for the completion of the object is the 4th quarter of 2022. The new passenger terminal of Yamal's largest air hub with an area of 19.600 square meters will be equipped with three telescopic ladders and 12 check-in counters. Its capacity will be 840 pax per hour.
