LLC «LMS» will construct terminal in the Volgograd airport
LMS will put into operation in May 2018 new terminal of domestic air lines in the international airport Volgograd. Airport is directed by LLC Novaport, and today is one of the airports of federal importance.
New terminal will be built on the place of previous one, which is entirely disassembled. It was not in compliance with the building norms and aviation security requirements. Airport depth was only 10 meters. For these reasons it was decided by shareholders to demount the old building and construct a new 10 000 squire meters terminal instead.
It will include 13 check-in counters, 2 luggage systems, VIP-zone, business lounge and food services area. New terminal will be built during 13 months.
Within the second stage of modernization of air-terminal complex is construction of new terminal «B», taxi strips, apron and re-equipment of takeoff runway with navigation instrument up to the 3rd ICAO category standard. This equates to accommodate airplanes actually at all weather conditions.
Reconstruction of the airport and aerodrome complex is conducted in the lead-up to 2018 FIFA World Cup.
