LMS reconstructs Tyumen Airport, increasing its area
According to the results of the competitive selection, on February 21, 2023, Roshchino Airport signed a construction contract for construction and installation works on the object: «Reconstruction of the terminal complex of international/domestic air lines of Tyumen International Airport (Roshchino)» with LMS LLS. The organization has extensive experience in the construction and reconstruction of airport infrastructure. This is our fifth project for the customer of Novaport Holding LLC (airports of Volgograd, Kemerovo, Voronezh, Magadan and Tyumen).
One of the conditions of the terms of reference is the implementation of a phased reconstruction in the conditions of the current operation of the terminal. For the organization of construction, a phased reconstruction of the existing building has been determined, which includes 3 stages. According to the contract with the general contractor, the work is expected to be completed in 2027.
During the reconstruction, the area of the new terminal will increase to 46 thousand m2 (the area of the existing terminal: 27 thousand m2). The reconstruction of Roshchino International Airport will increase the capacity to 1,900 passengers/hour, and the total annual volume to 3,800,000 passengers/year.
In addition to the terminal building, the engineering networks of buildings and structures, the forecourt and the apron will be reconstructed as part of the construction.
The new terminal will be equipped with seven telescopic ladders, modern passenger service and baggage handling systems.
