YNAO Governor Artyukhov visited the construction of Novy Urengoy Airport

Dmitry Artyukhov, Governor of the YNAO, visited the passenger terminal at Novy Urengoy Airport, which is under construction. Andrey Zemlyakov, Director of Capital Construction of MC Airports of Regions, Evgeny Krasikov, Director of Strategic Communications of MC Airports of Regions, and Mehmet Bahar, Project Manager of LMS Group, the general contractor, told him about the current stages of construction.

Work on the treatment of the main metal structures with fire-retardant composition and their painting, the laying of large-format floor tiles and other finishing works continue in the terminal. Builders are laying the necessary communication systems and completing the installation of the facade substructure. The installation of metal constructions and heat insulation of entrance groups is finished, 11 elevators, 4 escalators and 7 sectional gates are installed. Construction readiness of the new building is about 70%.

The builders of LMS have started the construction of the station square, which includes short-term and long-term parking for 300 cars. Here will be organized a dedicated lane for public transport, the landing and dropping off zone, will be installed indoor stopping complex.

At the same time, the Airports of Regions team presented to the head of the region a project for a permanent exhibition about the development of Yamal at Novy Urengoy airport. Multimedia and analogue objects will show all the facets of the region's rare riches - natural, human and technological. The objects will be dispersed throughout the terminal, so that even without having a ticket, the visitor could see most of the installations.

The planned completion date for the facility is Q4 2022.
