Technical readiness of the Eastern exit at the end of July was more than half - 53%

Gülseren Sinan Atalay, member of the Board of Directors of Limak Marash Group of Companies, which includes Limakmaraschavtodorogi LLC, inspected the construction progress of the large-scale project Eastern Exit to the M-5 Ural Federal Highway in Ufa.

Technical readiness of the Eastern exit at the end of July was more than half - 53%. 

The permanent structures of the tunnel - the vault, the inverted vault and the lateral support are 50% complete. The central pylon is 99% complete, and the remaining volume will be completed before all the concrete work is done. On the East and West portals, the retaining walls are 75% complete as part of the landslide control measures. On the open portion of the Western portal, the external waterproofing and backfill operations are underway.

At the site where builders are erecting the bridge over the Ufa River, the gypsum rock roofing on the bridge piers and in the base of the piles has been grouted, and the bored piles on all piers have been completed. The installation of the piles is completed, the pylons and the heads of the bridge abutments are 90% ready. The consolidated assembly of the steel structures of the span is being carried out. We are currently delivering the expansion joints and the deflectors. Crane tracks are fully assembled, a large-ton crane is installed, and the commissioning is completed. Since April of the month there has been overthrust of steel structures of the spans. About 25% of the work is done.

On the overpass the installation of driven piles and BPS, tamping at the base of the piles and gypsum rock roofing is completed. Construction of concrete structures of the trestle piers is in progress: 98% of the piles are ready, 98% of the pier bodies and 92% of the beams.

The beams own production capacity is 100% deployed - about 100 prestressed beams of 33 m length are produced every month, which completely covers the planned needs of the facility construction. In the process of completion of these beams installation on the overpass supports - 96%.

At the road and interchanges section, the specialists keep on building the foundation (the lower part of the foundation is 65% ready, the upper part is 49% ready) and reinforcing slopes and ditches. The culvert installation is 95% complete. Excavation and backfilling of channel straighteners is 98% complete. Backfill filter (sand, crushed stone, geotextile) has been started. The roadbed has been formed for the site of the road maintenance enterprise (PME).

The installation of driven piles on the artificial constructions is being completed - 96%. The construction of the uprights - 80%, props - 68% and transoms - 73% is ongoing.

At the future toll plaza, the installation of driven piles is completed. The installation of the uprights is in progress, 34% ready.

There is an active extraction and transportation of sand-gravel mixtures (SGM) from its own quarries - the volume up to 4 500 m³ per day.

More than 2,200 specialists, including engineering personnel, are involved in the construction of the facility.

The Eastern Exit project cost 33,5 billion rubles will be realized on the principles of public-private partnership. It provides for the completion of construction of a tunnel with length of 1,276 m, which began laying in 1992, the construction of a bridge across the Ufa River with a highway overpass with length of 2.65 km and arrangement of the road with a length of 10 km. The facility will be commissioned by 2024.

The Eastern exit will connect the central part of Ufa with the federal highway M-5 «Ural». It will significantly improve the transport infrastructure of the capital of Bashkortostan and the car connection between M-5 «Ural» and M-7 «Volga» highways.
