Chief Engineer at Limak Marash Yuri Tretyakov spoke about the dynamics of the Esplanada shopping center construction and the use of unique technologies:

“For the first time in the world, membrane facade technology is being applied to a building of such a large area. It will look really, unique ... "

- Yuri, tell us what is unique about the project in Perm?

The future multifunctional complex on one territory combines completely new spaces for Perm: conference rooms for events for up to 1000 people, a five-star hotel, a restaurant overlooking the city, a shopping gallery, the only multi-level underground parking in the city center for 1500 cars.

Thanks to the unique architecture and technology used on the facades of the complex under construction, a new point of attraction for residents and guests of the city will appear in Perm. Without exaggeration, for the first time in the world, membrane facade technology is used on a building of such a large area. It will look really, unique.

- What modern technologies are used in the construction of the Esplanada shopping center?

Our company - Limakmarashstroy, being a reliable and professional general contractor, uses unique and modern technologies during the construction of the Esplanada shopping center, one of them is prestressing. It consists in laying high-strength ropes in reinforced concrete floor beams. The advantages of this technology are that there is a compression of reinforced concrete beams for a certain load, and after compression there is no microcracks. Decrease in reinforcement, decrease in concrete floor thickness, increase in distance between columns. As a result, this technology makes it possible to increase the load on this floor and reduce the number of columns.

In the future, this technology of adhesion to concrete allows you to cut out any technological holes in the slab, if necessary, and the slab will remain prestressed.

- What work has been done at the site recently?

In November, construction work on wall pouring, reinforcement, formwork set and monolithic flooring at an elevation of 5,750 m was actively continued by 88%. Now construction is underway at elevations of 11.6 m and 17.9 m - the second and third floors of the future multifunctional center. The bricklaying of the building continues - the progress in the construction of partitions of the underground parking on the “minus” floors is more than 14%.

- How many specialists are involved on the site?

The construction site employs more than 450 people: approximately 50 engineering and technical staff and 400 workers.

- When is the commissioning of the facility planned?

The commissioning of the facility is scheduled for November 2021.

- What measures have been taken at the construction site to prevent Covid-19?

Medical examination, body temperature control of construction personnel is carried out daily. Sanitizers were installed on the site, and germicidal air purification units were installed in the premises. Employees undergo regular testing for COVID-19 (once every 2-3 weeks).

- How will work be organized during the New Year holidays from January 1-10, 2021?

December 31 will be a shortened working day, January 1 - day off. During the rest of the New Year holidays, work on the construction site will continue.

- What types of work are planned to be done during this period so as not to lose momentum and continue construction according to the schedule?

The construction of the facility is proceeding according to plan and schedule. During the New Year holidays, we will continue monolithic and stone work, installation of metal structures, fire extinguishing systems, heating and ventilation systems, as well as electricians.
